Taschler Haus Boutique Hotel is a Saxon house, placed in Sighisoara’s city center offering accommodation next to the citadel’s wall and being located only 150m away from the famous clock tower, the symbol of the citadel. The house has 10 rooms, each of them is telling a different story, having the names inspired by Saxon craftsmen trades with specific symbols and decorations typical of that time. Filip House is an old deltaic farmhouse, built in 1921, in the heart of Sarichioi village and just a few steps from the shore of Razim lake. At the 2019 Architecture Annual , Casa Filip from Sarichioi received the trophy for the section dedicated to restoration, rehabilitation and reconversion + the special award of the president of the Romanian Order of Architects (Dobrogea Branch). And at the TopHotel Awards 2022 , it won the 3rd place in the “traditional style pension of the year” category. The Old House respects the details of the traditional deltaic style and is intended exclusively for accommodation. The adobe walls were preserved and reinforced, then plastered with natural lime. The wooden windows and doors were reconstructed and painted in the blue so specific to the Russian-Lipovian community. The window and the flower shop contrast and highlight the white walls and the ecological reed roof.
